Kitchen Construction in Connecticut

Custom Kitchen Construction & Design-Build in Connecticut

At Cechinel Design & Build, we view full-scope kitchen construction as the ultimate blend of heavy structural engineering and refined interior architecture. Serving homeowners throughout Connecticut, our experienced design-build firm brings architectural precision and master trade execution to every major kitchen build we undertake. Whether you are constructing an expansive main-floor addition in the Farmington Valley or executing a complete down-to-the-studs rebuild in Greater Hartford, we manage every phase of construction to ensure your new culinary suite is structurally sound, code-compliant, and visually breathtaking.

Executing a full kitchen construction project requires far more than basic cosmetic updates—it demands comprehensive project coordination, structural modifications, and heavy mechanical rough-ins. We specialize in transforming outdated, compartmentalized floor plans into expansive, light-filled spaces designed for modern family living and grand entertaining. We invite you to explore our past projects in our online gallery to see how our dedicated construction teams bring complex architectural concepts to reality.

Structural Framing & Open-Concept Engineering

Creating an inviting, modern kitchen often requires altering the fundamental architecture of your home. Our licensed structural crews specialize in removing load-bearing interior walls, installing engineered LVL support beams, and re-framing ceiling joists to achieve true open-concept living. Through our turnkey design-build approach, we handle all structural engineering reviews and town permitting to ensure your new open layout exceeds all Connecticut building codes.

Mechanical Rough-Ins & Heavy Trade Execution

Behind every luxury kitchen lies a robust mechanical backbone. During the construction phase, our master tradespeople install dedicated electrical subpanels, high-amperage appliance circuits, recessed LED lighting grids, and gas line extensions. Simultaneously, we update waste lines, copper supply runs, and exterior-ducted high-CFM range hood ventilation systems, ensuring your kitchen operates safely and efficiently under heavy daily use.

Precision Millwork & Custom Finishing

Once structural framing and mechanical rough-ins pass municipal inspections, our finish carpenters bring your vision to life. We install subflooring, fit large-format tile or hardwood flooring, and mount custom furniture-grade cabinetry with laser-guided accuracy. From fitting custom stone slab countertops to setting delicate tile backsplashes and luxury plumbing trim, every surface is finished to perfection.
